Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative Colitis is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the lining of the large intestine (colon) and rectum. Crohn's disease is a related condition and is very similar to Ulcerative Colitis. The main symptom of active disease is usually constant diarrhea mixed with blood, of gradual onset. These can produce ulcers, or open sores.
